11-11-11

Red Flag for small craft warning...I ignored the signs and headed out in my trusted yellow kayak and black titanium oar. White caps at a distance kept me close to shore as I paddled up the sheltering marsh of Gray's Creek. One or two images were all I could manage with my little camera as the ebbing tide and high winds carried my little craft bobbing back out to the sea. Awesome to be alone in an endless sea.

I love it!

Snow in October

My garden was blanketed in snow this afternoon. I was inspired to brave the blizzard, downed trees and wires, and headed out to the Beach.

All around were works of art for the seeing captured here.

Even the old railing on the Boardwalk was dripping in snow.

Thomas Keating: We’re born predisposed to seek security and survival, and base our definitions of happiness on gratification of such needs, leading to lives in search of power, control, esteem, sensual pleasure. These primitive “emotional programs for happiness” obstruct what may be the ultimate opportunity.

Compo Beach Sunrise

After the storm when all was quiet,
I wandered out before dawn just as the sun was coming up over the Sound. There was the sea and the sky amid the snow and sand.

It was Peaceful at last...
